Anping Gujie

  • Address: Tower A, 106 Jianwai Soho, 39 Dong Sanhuan Zhonglu, Chaoyang District, Beijing
  • Phone: 010/5869-2083
  • Price range: $
  • Cuisine: Chinese

The two-story Anping, with a bar on the first floor and dining upstairs, is located in the sprawling Jianwai Soho complex. Dine amidst dark wood, marble tables, velour armchairs, gauzy burgundy drapes, and traditional lamps hung from the ceiling. Hakka and Taiwanese dishes dominate the menu; our top picks are caipudan, a Hakka turnip omelet, and o a jian, a popular Taiwanese oyster omelet. Zha xia juan, or deep-fried shrimp, and suzha kezai, deep-fried oysters, are other toothsome specialties. Conclude your meal with a refreshing dessert of shaved ice with red bean, pineapple, or taro drizzled with sweet condensed milk.
